Introduction (excerpt): Our modern science has discovered and proven the diet of disease prevention and anti-aging. The diet also prevents the early demise of millions of innocent animals.
Ex-President Bill Clinton has recently adopted (mostly) a disease reversing whole food plant-sourced vegan diet so that he can live to see his grandchildren.
Human epidemiological and interventional studies have established efficacy of the disease preventing and reversing no-oil, low-fat plant-sourced diet. The plant-sourced healing diet is also cross-supported by calorie restriction (CR) studies from 1935 that have established that at any age, by reducing calorie intake while maintaining or increasing total aggregate nutrients we may significantly decrease disease and increase vigorous lifespan.
CR is the ONLY way proven to significantly extend healthy life span (up to 50%) in virtually all species tested from amoeba, to snail, to spider, to cow, fish, house, dog, cat, monkey and by way of aging markers to humans. No other intervention can match the proven results of CR. Not by exercising, not by taking vitamins, not by taking food suppliments etcetera.
But an almost universal misconception about how to determine which foods have the highest nutrient levels is causing untold confusion about proper diet.
Most nutrients are reported per gram weight, which is HIGHLY MISLEADING in light of calorie restriction studies. CR studies, without controversy, have show that the accurate view is that of a PER CALORIE DETERMINATION OF NUTRIENTS.
The difference between per gram and per calorie may seem small but is actually on the order of the difference between a flat earth and the earth as it is.
We may gain the advantages of a calorie...

Overweight But Underfed
It is an understatement to say you may have heard that too many Americans are overweight including more and more children. But we also often hear the following quote or something like it: "Feed the hungry - feed the hungry. We should feed our own starving children before giving aid to foreign countries!" Politics aside, which is it - are we overfed or underfed in the U.S.?
Mostly overfed, but undernourished.
In a wealthy country it needn't be that way.
Part of the problem is that to stay ahead of the competition, food processing companies have to always keep inventing new processed foods. Walk down the isle in a supermarket's breakfast cereal or snack food section... duh.
The meat and dairy industries are BIG advertisers. Way back in 1989 for example a large fast food corporation spent over one million dollars per day advertising its products. How'd you like to have one three hundred and sixty fifth of their yearly advertising budget handed to you today?
Another problem and perhaps the biggest is tradition or culture. "Thanksgiving is Thursday." "The Fourth of July is Friday." "Christmas is tomorrow." It takes a strongly motivated individual to break free of their political history and religious dietary traditions.
Are you strongly motivated?
